After a particularly difficult year last year, Courtenay Henricks had a perfect Christmas.

She just threw a party to celebrate her 30th birthday, and she defeated the fact that she was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in March.

Ms. Henricks, her husband and two children returned to Tasmania from their new home in Kingsgrove, south of Sydney, to spend Christmas with their family.

Last November, Ms. Henricks celebrated her 30th birthday and the fact that she defeated breast cancer

Now, the mother of two children who have been diagnosed with cancer again is trying to raise $20,000 for her bucket list

Then on Boxing Day, her husband Troy Henricks proposed to her again and gave her an engagement ring that they had never bought when they eloped six years ago.

But she also keeps chest pain. Just two weeks ago, she decided to go to the hospital to make sure that there is no more serious problem than fluid accumulation in the lungs.

A CT scan was performed to check for lung clots, but when the oncologist began to enter the ward to check the results, Ms. Henricks knew what was wrong.

The scan revealed that the breast cancer she was cleared in August had actually spread to her lungs and chest. There were three masses in her left lung and an 8-9 cm nodule in the middle of her chest.

Ms. Henriques reads a book to her daughter. She has been suffering from chest pain. Just two weeks ago, she decided to go to the hospital to make sure that there is no more serious problem than fluid accumulation in the lungs.

Her doctor did not want to give her an exact prognosis, but said that the best case for Ms. Henricks' cancer type is a 22% chance of living to 5 years. She is not one of the best cases.

"I may not be able to see my youngest child become a kind person," she told the Australian Daily Mail.

"At best I think I have been three years."

Now, Ms. Henricks is trying to raise enough funds through the Go Fund Me website so that she can complete everything on the bucket list with her husband, their 5-year-old daughter Aili, and their 15-month-old son Caelan.

Earlier this month, Ms. Henrik was told that she can only live a maximum of three years

On Boxing Day last year, my husband proposed to her where he got married six years ago

"I want to do a lot of small things, such as going to Luna Park with the kids, and doing some fun activities every weekend," she said.

"I know it sounds selfish, but I want to make sure my youngest child remembers me.

"I know my biggest meeting, but with these memories, you don't want the older child and dad to remind the youngest child what happened."

There is also an important overseas holiday on her list.

"I have always wanted to travel with my husband," Ms. Henriques said.

"We have been married for six years and our honeymoon is a one-night camping trip.

"I want to do tourism activities that everyone can say they have done, but I don't have much time to do it."

Ms. Henricks also enjoys cruising around New Caledonia with her husband and children, taking hot air balloons and skydiving at sunrise

Ms. Henriques wants to raise $20,000 so that she can afford to travel in business class because her lung problems mean she needs to be able to lie down on a long-haul flight.

Her most frequent destinations are London, Paris, Greece and Turkey.

Ms. Henricks also wants to visit the United States to spend Thanksgiving with her father and his wife.

She wants to visit Ireland in memory of her mother. 

"My mother died of breast cancer when I was 17, and she always wanted to go to Ireland with me, but in the end she became too ill," Ms. Henriques said.

Ms. Henricks also enjoys sailing around New Caledonia with her husband and children, taking hot air balloons and parachuting at sunrise.

Her top destinations for traveling with her husband include London, Paris, Greece and Turkey

Ms. Henricks also wants to visit the United States to spend Thanksgiving with her father and his wife, and she wants to visit Ireland to commemorate her mother

In the next few months, she will receive chemotherapy, which has a 50% chance of reducing the severity of her cancer.

"With my aggression, our goal is to stabilize if we can shrink it," she said.

"At this rate, we just want to postpone it as much as possible and get more quality and quantity from life."

Ms. Henriques said she knew it would be a "very difficult journey", especially when she tried to explain the situation to her children.

"But we can treat it as a hijacked car, or like some bumper cars at the show," she said.

"And I think I want to take the second option."
